Matmata – Ksar Ghilene oasis
Departure around 7:00 from the hotel from Djerba
Drive along the Roman Grable to the African continent. After 40 min stop at a café.
Continue about an hour drive to the Berber town- Toujene – Matmata , visiting the Sidi Dris hotel where Star Wars was filmed ( entrance 3 dinar ) , in Matmata we will also enter the Berber house where there will be a treat of tea, rosemary honey and oil with bread.
Next, in an hour we will be in the oasis of Ksar Ghilene, you can take a camel ride for 15 euros or a quad bike ride for 30 euros through the dunes of the Sahara. Free time for bathing in a thermal spring 30 minutes. Lunch in a tourist restaurant – real Berber, couscous chicken from the oven, salad and brik, seasonal fruit.
Departure after lunch, photo in the Dahar mountains, stop at a café.
Return to the hotel around 5 pm
