Djerba Island tour 1/2 day
Departure from the hotel around 7:30
On the programme we first have the town of Houmt-Souk , the capital of the island. There we will visit the fortifications of the 16th century Turkish Sultan Ghazi Moustafa, then we will go to the market where they sell spices, cosmetics, oil. On foot together we will go to the Arabian Medina, we will be at the jeweller’s byentation of gold and silver, there will also be free time about 45 min for souvenir shopping.
Then we will go about 15 min to the town of Riad, where there is the oldest sinagoga in Africa, entrance 1 dinar per person.
Next to it there is also a shop with fragrant oils where they make presentations.
Continue about 5 min by bus and you will reach the Djerbahood murals, 30 min free time for photos.
Then we have about 15 min on the way to the south of the island to the town of Guilella where we will enter the pottery shop, free time of 15 min in the shop of the guilders.
Then 5 me n the road and we reach the highest peak of Djerba 55 m where the museum of Islamic art and traditions of Tunisia is located, the entrance to the museum is included in the price of the excursion, additionally there is a factual charge for the right forographing 3 dinars.
And the last place which we will visit is the Roman Gravel, built in the third century by the Romans – 7 km long.
